Tanzania Investment Center China (Hunan) Investment and Cooperation Platform Launched
The Tanzania Investment Center China (Hunan) Investment and Cooperation Platform was officially launched on December 13, 2024.
Located in the China-Africa Economic and Trade Cooperation Innovation Demonstration Park in Changsha, the platform aims to create more cooperation opportunities and provide quality and convenient investment services for cross-border investors.
Government and academic leaders, as well as more than 170 enterprise representatives attended the launching ceremony, including: Bai Lianyang, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and head of the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences; Gilead Teri, director of the Tanzania Investment Center; Ali Mwinyi, envoy of the consulate general of Tanzania in Guangzhou; Xu Xiangping, chairperson of the China-Africa Economic and Trade Promotion Council (CAETP); Liu Delin, director of the Port Office of the People's Government of Hunan Province; and, Shuai Fangwen, president of the Hunan Er-Kang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

In this September, the Tanzania Investment Center, CAETP, and Hunan Er-Kang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. reached a MOU on jointly establishing the Tanzania Investment Center China (Hunan) Investment and Cooperation Platform.
Operated by the Hunan Er-Kang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., the platform is committed to assisting the investors who intend to invest in China and Tanzania in making cross-border investment; providing up-to-date information about the investment and trade fairs in China and Tanzania and helping enterprises participate; organizing or participating in investment promotion roadshows and conferences to attract investors; and, regularly sharing opportunities and measures of incentives for investors, and offering analysis on the latest investment policies.
In recent years, the Hunan Er-Kang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. has been actively exploring the overseas markets. It founded an over-2,000-mu (1,334 ha.) modern industrial park in Cambodia and an ore-dressing plant with a capacity of 300,000 tonnes of raw ore dressing in Nigeria, and has engaged in investment and construction in agriculture and medicine fields in Tanzania.
